TFA

Brand/Concept + Strategy

Client :
The Fashion Annex

BRAND:

Ghana’s Fashion Annex is the next emerging fashion hub and has already proved itself a serious contender with its diaspora flocking back to spark-up its economy. With newly established oil reserves, it’s diaspora are flocking back to it’s shores to fertilise the economy with new and international energy. Back in 2018, one such group of individuals invited us to have a conversation about how we might be able to revive a collapsed fashion week model from 2015. A West African based event to celebrate African culture via it’s textiles, fashion, entertainment and celebrity. The Fashion Annex (TFA) was erected as a working title to carry the mantle.

BRIEF:

First things first, as with most consignments, our first port of call would be to create the vision. Step one, to establish the basic objectives, wish-lists, venue and potential contributors. Step two, to proof the concept and reach out to our select network to court initial interest. Step three, to present a series of ideas, findings and feasibility to the consortium.

West Africa’s economic history has been a volatile one, thwart with failed attempts to bring the unions into the 21st century. The need to therefore create something with longevity was expressed as a paramount focus.

SOLUTION:

As with a number of projects, an industry standard Media Deck is often required for any would be investor, sponsor, contributor, manager and/or agent. We created an impactful visual PDF document that allows any individual unfamiliar with the idea, to fully embrace the concept without having to conjecture it themselves. Equipped with involvement in principles from the likes of Boris Kodjoe (Actor), Dean Cleary (D1 Models), Victoria Clay (Britons Next Top Model), Alexis Knox (Superstar DJ) and Stormzy (Rapper/MC), we were able to present assets capable of driving the project forward.
