BRAND:

The MediaSKIN Gifting Lounge otherwise known as MSGL is an innovative multi-media company that that looks after SME’s. It fundamentally prides itself on it’s ability to be innovative, in a world full of copycat cells looking to capitalise on the next big sensation.

Their digital services such as Brand I.D. Web Presence and Personality Management helped them surf the choppy tides of an unstable marketplace. Their clientele base mainly comprising of health, beauty, sports and leisure brands relied on these fundamental aspects to get an edge on their competition.

BRIEF:

Established in 2011 after the housing market crash, MSGL faced an incredible up hill struggle as it’s customer loyalty began to wane. In the face of a diminishing economy, clients had less to spend on exposure, activation and marketing drives. Never a company to rest on it’s laurels, the team had to think quickly about how they could turn both their own clientele and their personal fortunes around.

The brief was to find a vehicle that could defy uncertain times, have a low cost entry threshold and maximise brand exposure. A tall order, but with our combined connections, a very feasible project to execute.

SOLUTION:

Brainstorming with the team, we embarked upon reviewing industries that seemingly appeared to be untouchable and recession-proof. Netflix, YouTube and Reality Media was rising and people had an insatiable appetite for voyerism and overnight successes.

Simple enough to overlook in this social media obsessed environment now, but we thought to twin together popular-culture and complementary product gifting. MSGL hit the slipstream and was catapulted into media consciousness and went on to support events such as LFW, the NTA’s and MTV awards respectively.
